Spyrotone is a relaxation and strength-training exercise emphasizing slow, flowing movement, coordinated breathing and mental focus. The hand-held device facilitates a pattern to follow, to stretch and release tension stored in the body due to postural instability, imbalance and misalignment.

Featuring a unique, open-handed design, Spyrotone frees the smaller muscles in the hands, arms and shoulders to work independently within their groups - unlike conventional devices requiring use of a grip, which first group and shorten muscles, cause them to adhere to one another and become stiff, inhibiting their return to full relaxed-length.

Alternately stretching and loading from side-to-side with rotation and pivoting stance, bridges gaps in coordination and balance and develops core stability. Incorporating single-leg balance, closed stance (eagle pose), horse and warrior stances, engages the abdominal groups and muscles in the back, carrying the pattern deeper into the hips and legs and rooting it to a solid stance.

Spyrotone is a very enjoyable, recreational practice in that you learn something both about yourself and nature. You become aware of the habits that lead to tension and stiffness, fatigue and mental distraction, and you feel a sense of freedom that comes with an ability to use your weight and gravity more to your advantage. Everything more balanced and at a state of rest. It's energizing, invigorating and free of monotonous routine. In the ten years that I have been using Spyrotone, I have yet to exhaust all it has to offer.

Hands down! Chi Harmony Pro produces the most immediate release of tension you will find in a portable device. As a fast-track tool to restoring chi-strength and stability, CHP removes the obstacles and stagnation that inhibit chi balance and flow, in a gentle, recreational form.

Originally developed as a teaching-aid to Spyrotone, CHP further utilizes accupressure to apply gentle massage to the hands and fingers. Pinpointing the same position on the mid-line of the hand as Spyrotone, it connects the key pivotal points and holds them in alignment so stretching and movement are kept on track.

The Yoke is specially designed to spread tension from the median-line of the hand outward, in a revolving/counter-revolving, shiatsu style. The opposite-mounted Radial applies counterpoint massage to the backhand and fingers and defines on a sensory level either side of the hand/body. Sensation passing across the median-line is communicated hand-to-hand, informing balance and coordination while relaxing and soothing the nervous system.

The lower-end fitting to the toes and feet intersects the same median-line as that of the hands and is aligned with the same axis of rotation, further promoting upper-to-lower-body communication, balance, coordination and stability.

Like Spyrotone, Chi Harmony Pro is in essence a yoga/tai-chi fusion form in that it promotes cooperative response between alternating and opposing dynamics in the body. It's a very streamlined, concentrated form that produces a similar kind of benefit, without a commitment to long-term instruction and practice. It is, however, aligned with and supports traditional forms, and is most excellent for when you don't have time for a proper workout, or for maintaining between workout sessions. For example, it requires no preparation, no warm up, no floor work, no particular sequence, easy for a ten-minute break, etc., and most importantly for these same reasons, it's safer in those situations where required conditions or time may not be possible. It's also a lot of fun, because it's always different, you are free to move around, etc.
